Commonly known as “Lady’s Tears,” this plant is widespread across almost all of Europe, the temperate zone of Asia, and North America. It is most commonly found in deciduous forests, but can also be found in thickets, lowlands, and hilly areas. It produces small, bell-shaped white flowers and berry-like red fruits. The entire plant is toxic, but it is used in medicine to treat heart diseases.
