Sideritis raeseri, also known as “Mountain tea” is an endemic Balkan plant that grows on limestone rocky areas in the southwestern part of the Balkan Peninsula. In Macedonia, it is found only in the subalpine zone of Mount Galichica. Like other species of this genus, it has anti-inflammatory, anticoagulant, antihypertensive, antispasmodic, antibacterial, sedative and antioxidant properties, which is why it is often used to make tea.
