Guiana chestnut commonly known as “water chestnut,” originates from the wetlands of Central and South America. In Japanese culture, it is believed to attract wealth and prosperity, which is why it is often associated with good fortune and placed in homes and businesses. In Chinese culture, becuase of the leaves that look like five fingers, is a symbol of metal, tree, water, fire and earth, considering it a “Feng-Shui” plant.
