Arabica coffee is a decorative shrub with glossy green leaves. In its natural habitat, it grows as a small shrub or low tree. It originated in Ethiopia, where the seeds and leaves were first used for medicinal purposes. Later, people discovered that the seeds could be roasted and ground to make beverages. Coffee plants take a year to grow, and then 5 years to reach its full potential to produce fruit. On average, a coffee tree yields 500 to 1000 grams of roasted coffee per year.
