This plant is commonly known as the “Chinese money tree.” It grows naturally in the provinces of Yunnan and Sichuan in Southern China. It is an upright, evergreen plant with shiny dark green, round leaves that have petioles attached near the center of the leaf. It is considered an endangered species in its natural habitat, but is widely cultivated and used as an ornamental plant in China and around the world.
